1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Area Jobs ("the Service", "Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including job seekers, employers, and visitors.

2. Use of Service
2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2.2 Account Responsibilities

When creating an account or posting content, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information

  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

2.3 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent job listings or applications

  • Post discriminatory content or engage in discriminatory practices

  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users

  • Scrape, data mine, or use automated tools without permission

  • Post spam, advertisements, or solicitations unrelated to employment

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service

  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation

3. Job Seekers
3.1 Job Applications

When applying for jobs through Area Jobs:

  • You grant employers access to your application materials

  • You represent that all information provided is accurate and truthful

  • You understand that Area Jobs is not responsible for hiring decisions

  • You acknowledge that communication with employers is directly between you and them

3.2 Free Access

Area Jobs provides free access to job seekers. We do not charge job seekers to search for jobs, apply to positions, or use basic features of the platform.

4. Employers
4.1 Job Postings

When posting jobs, employers agree to:

  • Post only legitimate job opportunities

  • Provide accurate job descriptions, requirements, and compensation

  • Comply with all applicable employment laws and regulations

  • Not engage in discriminatory hiring practices

  • Honor posted salary ranges and job details

4.2 Screening and Removal

Area Jobs reserves the right to:

  • Review and approve job postings before publication

  • Remove any posting that violates these Terms

  • Suspend or terminate accounts that violate our policies

  • Refuse service to any employer at our discretion

4.3 Fees and Payment

Employer pricing and payment terms are available on our Pricing & Plans page. By purchasing services, you agree to pay all applicable fees. Refunds are provided at our discretion and according to our refund policy.

5. Intellectual Property Rights
5.1 Platform Ownership

Area Jobs and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Area Jobs and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 User Content License

By posting content (job listings, resumes, etc.), you grant Area Jobs:

  • A worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content

  • The right to format and display content within the Service

  • Permission to use content for promotional and operational purposes

You retain all ownership rights to your content. You may delete your content at any time, which will terminate this license (except for cached or backup copies).

6. Disclaimers and Limitations
6.1 No Employment Relationship

Area Jobs is a platform that facilitates connections between job seekers and employers. We are not:

  • An employer or employment agency

  • Responsible for hiring decisions

  • A party to any employment agreement

  • Liable for workplace issues or employment disputes

6.2 No Guarantee

We do not guarantee:

  • Job placement or hiring outcomes

  • The accuracy or completeness of job listings

  • The quality or legitimacy of employers or applicants

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service operation

6.3 "AS IS" Service

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AREA JOBS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities

  • Damages resulting from user interactions or transactions

  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your content

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Area Jobs and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service

  • Your violation of these Terms

  • Your violation of any third-party rights

  • Content you post on the Service

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including:

  • Violation of these Terms

  • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity

  • At our discretion for operational reasons

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

10. Dispute Resolution
10.1 Informal Resolution

If you have a dispute with Area Jobs, please contact us first to attempt an informal resolution.

10.2 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which Area Jobs operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

10.3 Arbitration

Any disputes not resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's rules. You waive your right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Miscellaneous
  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect

  • Waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not waive that right

  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them without restriction

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Area Jobs
